THINK VICTORY! VICTORY over every trial, every circumstance, every attack of the devil! Your mind is a battlefield. Satan will attack you in your mind. Your VICTORY depends upon how much you KNOW God's Word & how much Word you are willing to ACT upon. If your heart and mind are strong and victorious, you will be victorious. If your heart and mind are weak, you will be weak. Learn to discipline your mind by resisting satan and taking control of your thoughts, will, emotions, desires and attitudes. Bring them under control of the Holy Spirit and in conformity to the will of God.
The most vulnerable, dangerous position for any Child of God to take in spiritual warfare is a passive mind. The word 'passive' means 'lacking in energy or will; exhibiting no gain or control; submissive; receiving or enduring without resistance'.
The Christian who has a passive mind is one who is exercising no control over his mind, thoughts, will, emotions or desires. He allows satan to fill his mind with thoughts of fear, doubt, worry, lust, covetousness and other evil thoughts without actively resisting him. YOU HAVE TO RESIST THE ATTACKS OF SATAN.
IF YOU HAVE A PASSIVE MIND, YOU ARE AN EASY TARGET FOR SATAN! A passive mind is one that is spiritually inactive. A Christian who has a passive mind not only fails to make any effort to exert spiritual energy over the thoughts satan tries to plant in his mind, he does not make any effort to fill his heart and mind with the WORD. He does not discipline himself to study the WORD, consistently, or exercise his will to bring his actions in line with God's WORD.
Without a strong foundation in the WORD, you do not have the ability to spiritually discern truth from error. REMEMBER: THE EXTENT TO WHICH WE ALLOW SATAN TO HAVE ACCESS INTO OUR MINDS AND TO CONTROL OUR THOUGHTS, IS THE DEGREE HE HAS CONTROL OVER US. Christians with passive minds are those whose minds are spiritually inactive:
Who fail to excise their power and authority to resist satan's attack.
Who fail to cast out every negative, carnal or evil thought and bring them under the control of the Holy Spirit.
Who fail to constantly be renewed in their minds by filling their hearts and minds with the WORD, and applying it in their lives.
Who fail to exercise control over their wills, to act on the WORD and crucify the lusts of their flesh.
YOU CAN FACE SATAN AND DEFEAT HIM IN THE POWER OF A VICTORIOUS MIND! God has not planned for you to be defeated.
(1 Corinthians 2:16 - NASB) For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE SHOULD INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ. God has placed His Spirit within you so that you can know His thoughts, desires, will and purposes.
(1 Corinthians 2:9-12, NASB)
9 but just as it is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM."
10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.
11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God,
God wants us to know...to have a revelation within our spirits, within our minds...what His will, plan and purposes are toward us. Paul prayed that God would give to the Ephesians a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ.
(Ephesians 1:17-19, NASB)
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.
As we fill our hearts and minds with His WORD, and bring our minds into submission to His thoughts, His will, His purposes, His desires, we are transformed into His image, we have His mind, and we are able to walk in POWER and VICTORY.
