STEPS FOR RELEASING WISDOM INTO YOUR LIFE
2 Corinthians 10:4-5
4 (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
God truly wants to impart WISDOM to your life. If you ever get to the point at which you DECIDE that you want the supernatural WISDOM of God instead of your own natural wisdom and that you will do whatever He prompts you to do, leaving the consequences of your life totally in His hands, I believe that He will impart to you His WISDOM. He truly WANTS you to have His WISDOM. He WANTS you to live according to His WISDOM. He's waiting for you to ask.
The BIBLE tells us to take every thought captive, and that's what we need to do when we come to God DETERMINED to get an answer from Him. We need to take every stray thought captive and maintain our focus and concentrate on the one thing we desire God to do.
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN KNOW THE WILL OF GOD?
I believe that God will impart to you a supernatural WISDOM that will be so rock-solid in your soul that you will know without a doubt that God has spoken to you and revealed to you His WISDOM.
8 Steps for releasing the WISDOM of God in your life:
1. Admit that you don't know.
2. Choose to pray it before you say it.
3. Wait on the Lord.
4. Rejoice!
5. Ask Boldly---Cry out to God for WISDOM.
6. Persevere until you get God's WISDOM.
7. Declare by faith, "I have the WISDOM of God".
8. Obey WISDOM.
Putting yourself into a position to receive God's WISDOM and actually receiving it matter very little unless you actually ACT on the WISDOM God has imparted to you.
Don't ignore the notes you are receiving on Wed. nights. They are based on God's Word.
Don't forget to PRAY & WORSHIP the Lord.
BE FAITHFUL TO THE THINGS OF GOD
STEP 1. Come to God as children. 2 Chron. 20 - King Jehoshaphat - 4 things:
1. He sought God
2. Proclaimed fast
3. Prayed - reminding God of all His blessings & promises to His people
4. We don't know what to do. OUR EYES ARE UPON YOU.
2 IMPORTANT THINGS HERE:
1. "I dunno".
2. My eyes are upon you
We may not know, but we serve a God that knows ALL things. God is the only one who knows exactly what to do ALL the time, in EVERY circumstance & EVERY situation. We often engage our mouths before we pray, and generally speaking, we get ourselves into major trouble that way. If we make a decision to pray FIRST it will lead us to the next step.
STEP 3. Isaiah 64:4
4 For since the beginning of the world [men] have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, [what] he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
WAITING on God is very important. You believe that by waiting on God He will release to you things you know not of and you will receive from Him.
Isaiah 40:31
31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.
WAIT - Hebrew - to bind about by twisting. As we are in a binding process we wrap ourselves around God and become fused with Him. His STRENGTH becomes our STRENGTH. Renew can be translated as exchanged.
What do we DO as we wait before the Lord?
STEP 4. REJOICE!
This is our KEY to receiving EVERYTHING God has for us. God will not release WISDOM TO US UNTIL WE FIRST REJOICE. YOUR ATTITUDE OF PRAISE, EVEN IN THE MIDST OF TERRIBLE DIFFICULTIES, IS THE FIRST KEY TO OPENING UP THE WISDOM OF GOD TO YOU!
I've never seen anyone go in life from one place to the next in obedience to God without a struggle - a storm, a wilderness, a test - some type of struggle.
1 Peter 4:12-13
12 ¶ Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
Your situation may be terrible, but you have a great God. REJOICE in HIM. Not in your situation. REJOICE IN GOD! Count the experience as JOY before the Lord. Knowing that you can depend on God to see you through.
Step 5. 1 Kings 3:5-9
5 ¶ In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.
6 And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as [it is] this day.
7 And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I [am but] a little child: I know not [how] to go out or come in.
8 And thy servant [is] in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.
9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
1 Kings 3:10-14
10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.
11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;
12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
13 And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
14 And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days
Proverbs 2:3-7
3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, [and] liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as [for] hid treasures;
5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth [cometh] knowledge and understanding.
7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: [he is] a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
STEP 6. Don't let go of God until you get an answer from Him!
Genesis 32:24-26
24 ¶ And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaks." But he said, "I will not let You go unless You bless me!"
Friend, you cannot be a casual inquirer if you truly want the WISDOM of God in your life.
Remember the widow who came to the unjust judge?
Luke 18:3-8
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Luke 11:9-10
9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
STEP 7. After steps 1-6 you need to now DECLARE that you HAVE the WISDOM of God.
Everything in the kingdom realm of God works BY FAITH. The Bible teaches that every person has a MEASURE of FAITH. How do you tap into that faith and begin to release it to do its work in your life? By hearing the Word of God. By letting it sink deep into your spirit. By letting your mind conform to its standards. By allowing the commandments of God to permeate your mind and spirit so that you think them, breathe them, feel them, and live them. Not only do you HEAR the Word, but you must ACT on the word.
STEP 8. HEARING AND DOING
This is part of the PROCESS of GROWING in WISDOM.
2 Peter 3:18
18 But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen.
Ephesians 4:13
GROW IN CHRIST13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
